Moana Nui Wear began with one inspiration — my mother.

Growing up in Tuvalu, I watched her transform simple pieces of fabric into beautiful garments. Without formal training, she relied on creativity, craftsmanship, and a deep understanding of people and their needs. She taught me that clothing is more than something you wear — it is identity, culture, and expression.

Although I chose a different path, her passion stayed with me.

Moana Nui Wear was created to honour that legacy — celebrating Pacific heritage through elegant, meaningful apparel designed in New Zealand. Every piece reflects the beauty, strength, and stories of the Pacific, while embracing a more sustainable future through made-to-order production. Our designs are inspired by my mother's work, woven together with a deep focus on eco-friendly materials and practices.
